The Road to Morocco

Morocco is a great place to go for a vacation or a permanent residence. Two places in particular are Samanah Golf and Country Club and Le Jardin Le Fleur.

Samanah Golf & Country Club is a great place to go to get away from it all while still being in connection with the world (Marrakech is only 14 kilometers away). One and two bedroom apartments are available for around €150,000, while three to six bedroom villas are around €395,000. There is a planned 600 villas being build, the first half of which are set to be completed in 2010. The country club is members only and has state of the art facilities.

In the community, there are three deluxe hotels, a spa, boutiques, a chip and putt course with a practice golf range, a market square with many great shops, and a tennis club. There are already 650 residential properties found along the golf course each with their own private swimming pools.

All in all this is a great place to relax and take a load off, either with the heavily prevalent golf presence. Consider the relaxation of a beautiful view of mountains. And always keep in mind the comforts of spa and boutique treatment.

Le Jardin Le Fleur

Le Jardin Le Fleur is one of the largest five star resorts on the Mediterranean. The resort is actually made up of 11 different resorts each with their own gourmet restaurant. There is housekeeping and concierge services available as well as personal catering for big parties. The resorts are found along six kilometers of Mediterranean beach.

There are three golf courses in the area, one of which is championship level. They are complete with driving ranges, putting greens and club houses. Nearby is a 1000 berth Marina. La Jardin Le Fleur has a Beach Club you can join. And there are entertainment programs for all ages. For the outdoor lovers, there is a nature reserve nearby with an emphasis on ornithological study.

When the King of Morocco was enthroned in 2001 he set out to create over 600,000 jobs, raise revenue to Morocco through tourism and invest €9 billion in hotels in a plan he calls Plan Azur. This promises to be a great economical reason to come to Morocco.

For the jetsetter, Oujda International Airport is a 40 minute drive. London, Paris and Madrid are three hour or shorter flight. If you don’t feel like a plane ride you can always take a trip to the desert city of Fez. Make sure to bring a guide to help you better enjoy the trip.
